The importance of content marketing in a website

In the middle of the 21st century, you have probably heard of Content Marketing. Maybe you don't know exactly what it means, but you've seen it applied. If I had to sum up content marketing in a nutshell, I'd say it's "the creation of value in content". But how does this happen?

What it is?

It is a Marketing strategy focused on interacting with the target audience and growing the network of current and potential customers through the creation of relevant and valuable content. It is the pillar of Inbound Marketing.

Contrary to popular belief, content marketing is not just about producing content related to the company's product/service offering. In fact, the focus of the content should not be to sell, but to provide value. Selling will come as a consequence, as providing useful content to the public, showing them what they need, will allow us to create a positive perception of our brand, thereby increasing sales. So although the audience has the power to choose the content they want to see, we also have the power to give them that content.

This type of marketing goes beyond selling the product/service: it is about creating a whole compelling story to attract consumers. However, it is important to emphasise that it is not only the brand's content that attracts interest, but also its corporate image.

It is not enough to have good content: it is necessary to work on the whole environment, namely the website and the brand design, elements that have an impact on the first contact with potential customers.
